Attendance % = (Classes Attended ÷ Total Classes Held) × 100. For example, if 42 classes were held and you attended 36, your attendance is (36 ÷ 42) × 100 = 85.71%. Most institutions round to two decimal places for records.

If your requirement is R% and total classes held is T, the maximum you can miss is: T − ceil(R × T ÷ 100). For example, with 75% requirement over 60 classes: max absent = 60 − ceil(0.75 × 60) = 60 − 45 = 15 classes. This calculator shows this automatically.

If you currently have A attended out of T total, and need R% overall after N more classes: solve for x (additional to attend) in: (A + x) ÷ (T + N) ≥ R ÷ 100. The calculator handles this algebra — just enter your current numbers and target.

Yes, but it requires attending a large proportion of remaining classes. The recovery formula: classes needed = ceil((R ÷ 100 × (T + N) − A)) where N is remaining classes. If you're far below target with few classes left, recovery may be mathematically impossible — the calculator will tell you the minimum remaining classes you'd need to attend (100%) to recover.
