Date Calculator

The days-between mode counts the number of full days that elapse from the start date to the end date — the start date itself is not counted, but the end date is the point you're counting up to. So January 1 to January 2 is 1 day apart. If you need an 'inclusive' count (counting both the start and end day), add 1 to the result.

Business days count Monday through Friday only, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. This calculator does not account for public holidays, since those vary by country, state, and even company — if your use case needs holiday exclusions, subtract them manually from the business-day count shown.

Because months have different lengths (28 to 31 days), a calendar-based months-and-days breakdown isn't a simple division of total days by 30. The calculator finds the breakdown by counting whole calendar months between the two dates first, then the remaining days — which is the same method you'd use counting on a physical calendar.

Yes — there's no practical limit on how far back or forward you can calculate, though dates before the mid-1500s can behave unpredictably due to the historical transition from the Julian to Gregorian calendar, which this calculator doesn't account for.
